Jimena Albert "After graduating from CIC I moved to Geneva, Switzerland. I took a semester off and traveled around Europe for a while, then I went back to Switzerland to study in the European University, in Montreux (a little stinkin' town lol)... after a semester doing what I thought was Media Communications (and was really Management in disguise...) I went back to Geneva to Webster University. I loved it there and happily ended a second-first semester... still... the love wasn't enough to keep me there.
In August I moved back to Mexico City with my family. I'm currently studying Ciencias de la Comunicación at Universidad Iberoamericana and I'm doing great. I'm also working as Asistente de Contenidos in Ibero 90.9 FM (Radio Station-
www.ibero909radio.com

I would love to hear from everyone and specially my teachers... I really do owe them big time..." Please email Carmen Sweeting for this alumnus' email address.
Bruno Aquino"Why, first of all thanks for the upgrade on my title. You asked me to tell you some more stuff, and I feel compelled to answer. It's odd, but it's that way. I'm in Brazil, São Paulo more specifically, and am studying psychology in the Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Even though it's a pretty famous university around these parts, you might not know about it. I hope that establishes that I'm ok. Send my regards to the teachers there, please. If there's anything else that you want to know to add to your data base thingy just reply and I might feel compelled to answer again. Maybe it's the chance to type in English again. Cheers, Bruno Aquino" Please email Carmen Sweeting for this alumnus' email address.

Mariana Olsen"I remember Liseth and other people asking me about this Alumni project and if I wanted to help out, but I never heard about it since I graduated! I'm glad it's coming along though... Everything over here in New York City is great. I'm still attending Pace University currently studying International Management and hopefully, if I have the time, I'll do my Photography minor. I'm also working as Fashion Operations at an online retailer called NIMLI and we are currently in the process of expanding and launching a new line. Occasionally, I work for this place called Baby Loves Disco, which basically uses night clubs in NYC (and other locations around the US) and transforms them into child-proof afternoon dancing parties with real djs that play 70s and 80s music. Kids can dance, play, have fun and eat cookies and drink Yoohoos while parents can socialise and also drink! It's really great, I really enjoy it. Finally, occasionally, I also do volunteer work with New York Cares. (I bet Onalis would be really happy!) And OF COURSE, I'm still doing art. So I guess that's it!! Unfortunately, we are selling our house in Los Naranjos and my mom is moving to Colombia, so I really don't know when I'll get the chance to go back to Caracas, and of course, visit my lovely school CIC. Everyone knows I was there forever! Anyhow, I'm glad you are working on this Alumni site. I really hope everyone gets a chance to reply and see what everyone is doing. If anyone at the faculty still remembers my brother, Marius, he moved from NYC to Australia in June and he is going to get his Masters in Education at Griffith University in Brisbane, AU. Well, send my love to everyone at CIC. Please email Carmen Sweeting for this alumnus' email address.

Erik Portillo Svensson"It's been a long time since I have had any contact with CIC teachers, it's really nice to hear from you. I am currently doing my third and final year of the Bachelors of Architecture in London at the University of Greenwich. Next year I am off to do a year of working experience, before I do my Diploma and Masters. I am loving architecture, the course is great and I am finally getting some pretty high marks. jejejeje. I hope CIC is doing just fine, I miss Caracas. My mom is currently in La Havana, Cuba. So I might just do a small visit during the summer to Caracas. Some other students from CIC here in England and I met up with Mr. Mike and Miss Carly almost a year ago now, and they seemed to be doing fine. I think they still are. Good luck, my best regards to you and all the teachers." Please email Carmen Sweeting for this alumnus' email address.
Cristhian Quintero"Time flies can't believe CIC was over almost 3 yrs ago. I'm attending Pace University in New York, currently on my Junior Yr. I plan to study abroad (London) for the Spring '07. I've worked on campus and had one internship with a financial firm last summer in NYC. And I am only three semesters short before obtaining my double major in Finance and Business Management. I wish well to all CIC Community and hopefully in January I'll be home and visiting the school." Please email Carmen Sweeting for this alumnus' email address.
Tomas ZunaHere is a little bit about me: After graduating from CIC I went back home and took an "involuntary" gap year (due to few unfortunate delays with my university application) which I used to improve my horrible Spanish. Right now I'm in a second year of International Studies with Economics at the University of Birmingham (UK). I like my course and unless I have to attend the infamous 9 o'clock morning lectures I'm actually enjoying what I'm doing. I like the campus as well, there is always something happening around here and so almost every day there is an opportunity to do something outside of our daily "stereotypical" lives. I hope you are all doing well and I would like to send my best wishes to all the teachers and students at CIC. Take care,Tomas Zuna" Please email Carmen Sweeting for this alumnus' email address.

Brendan Mahoney(contacted CIC on Feb. 14th, 2007)
"My name is Brendan Mahoney and I attended CIC from middle of 6th grade until the end of my 8th grade year. (1996-1998 if I remember correctly) I started a group for CIC Students on the social network website called Facebook.com. We've already got nearly 150 students in the group that have been, or are going to CIC. I really miss the school and the country and for this reason I created such a group. Also I wanted to get in contact with old schoolmates! Martin Svangtun recently told me about the Alumni Contact page on the CIC website and I'd like to add my name in there, although I did not graduate from the school! After returning to South Dakota, USA from Caracas, Venezuela I finished High School and began studying Spanish at Black Hills State University. Upon the untimely and unfortunate death of my step father I returned home to be with my family. I dropped out of college (for the time being) and now I work as a
Bilingual Public Benefits Specialist assisting low income families get on medical programs. The Spanish I am so grateful of learning at CIC is proving very useful! Joy Bautista"This is Jocelyn "Joy" Bautista from the class of 1999. I'm currently in Chicago, IL working as a makeup artist. I love my career, although I still love my previous studies in Psych. I've been getting my name around, doing some photo shoots and weddings. Next year I'm planning to attend one of the cosmetology schools in the area to get my Aesthetics and Cosmetology licenses. I am also planning to get married to my long-time boyfriend. So, lots of good stuff happening. I miss Venezuela so much! I've been in contact with some people from CIC. I know Rebekah Wrobble lives in Oak Brook, IL and is a teacher at one of the elementary schools there. I believe she got married but I don't know her new name. (Update - March 25th, 2007) - I also have become an educator for the company that I work with, Sephora. I get to travel and teach what I'm passionate about to all the new people who have come to join our company, which is exciting for me! I get to do everything I love all in one job. I'm still planning to get my Aesthetics and Cosmetology licenses, and am also doing photoshoots and weddings on the side. I miss CIC very much and still keep in contact with a lot of people from CIC. Since CIC, I studied at two other schools here in Caracas. Then I moved to Gainesville, Florida, but decided to return a year later to study Modern Languages at the Universidad Metropolitana. I should graduate in one more year. At this time, I also play soccer in my spare time in a league that is like semipro, so that's pretty cool. I have some excellent memories of CIC. I always remember when we played baseball with a tennis ball in the old basketball court and throughout the year we had a homerun contest to see who won, I think I always finished in 2nd place.. not bad, ha, ha. I've had some luck finding some friends from my years at CIC, but it's quite difficult. This alumni page seems to be an excellent idea and now we can all keep in touch. Some of you may know my mom, Marisol Brandt. She taught at CIC for a number of years. She's doing fine and also living here in Caracas. My brother also went to CIC for one year in prekinder. His name is Carlos Leal and he is studying Law at the Universidad Metropolitana." Please email Carmen Sweeting for this alumnus' email address.

My favorite CIC memory is laughing and getting in trouble in Mr. Licata’s English class with Paula Panagiotidis and Ariane Nicklaus… she is now Ariane Boyd. I made amazing friendships with people that have changed me and molded me to become the person that I am today. I hope one day if I ever have children to be able to give them the same experience I received growing up and going to CIC. Please email Carmen Sweeting for this alumnus' email address.
Romulo GuilarteRomulo lives in Florida. “I enrolled in CIC in 1991 (8th grade) and graduated with high honors alongside classmates such as Nina Young, David Moscol etc. CIC was one of the best educations / schools of my life. I will never forget it….. my sister, Rhona, actually spent more years at CIC then I did, but did not graduate from CIC.” Please email Carmen Sweeting for this alumnus' email address.

I graduated from CIC in 1995 and I found your website very useful, it is true that not many of my old classmates have info of where to be reached, but at least I managed to get in contact with one of my classmates. I would also like to be added to the CIC alumni database." Please email Carmen Sweeting for this alumnus' email address.

"Hi, my name is Mohammad David Masri. My friends and teacher used to call me Mohammad, Mo' or David. After I graduated from CIC, Class of '95, I moved to Jakarta, Indonesia (regarding my father has ended his mission at Indonesian embassy in Caracas). I started to work at Department Of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia in mid year 1998. In year 2000, got my Bachelor on International Relations at Jayabaya University, Jakarta. I've been requested to work at the office of the Vice President of Indonesia in mid of 2003 and trusted to handle Asia Pacific Sub Division up till now. I married on 2002 and got 2 (a pair) children. I missed my time in CIC, especially CIC Vollyball team, Soccer's team, art class with Mrs. Armas, English with Ms. Lentini, ESOL with Mrs. Boulton and "a hard time to survive" Mr. Kolb's Physics'." Went on to college majored in international trade. After college and after being in the army for over 2 years, I moved to Boston for law school. I have been in Boston now for a little over three years and will be graduating next month. CIC was certainly an exceptional experience for me." “Hi Bill, I am very happy that you are taking the time to learn more about CIC's alumni. First of all, I will like to point out that I have wonderful memories of CIC. Studying at CIC is one of the best things that ever happened to me. I thank God and my parents for giving the opportunity to go there and meet all the wonderful people that still play a very important role in my life today. After I graduated from CIC, I went to University of Miami for a semester. However, I was forced to leave school for personal reasons and it was not until 2000 that I was able to return to school. I graduated from FIU in April 2004 with a Bachelors of Business Administration and a Minor in Economics. I worked at Office Max for a year as a Copy Max Production Associate. I also worked at a freight forwarder for 3 years as a Customer Service Representative and an Inside Sales Support Representative. Then, I worked at Belzona (manufacturer of polymers-protective coatings) for a year. Currently, I am working Part Time at the Miami Dade College and I applied at FIU to begin my Masters Degree in the fall. My personal life has not changed much. I have always lived in Miami, FL. I got married a year after I graduated from CIC. I am still married and I don't have kids. My favorite memory from CIC was a field trip that we did in 9th grade to Puerto Ordaz. We had a lot of fun. We even broke a bed. It was funny because we were trying to take a picture and there were like 20 girls in that bed and I was the last one to sit and immediately after I sat, the bed broke. It was very funny. That trip was memorable. Well, thank you for taking the time to learn about us. By the way, at CIC I met what is still today my best friend, Jennifer Gold. We had a cup of coffee together yesterday. If you would be so kind to please send me Mr. Gaviria's email. I miss him dearly and will like to say hello.” Please email Carmen Sweeting for this alumnus' email address.

"I now live in Montreal and have a wonderful 3 year old son! Before Montreal I lived in Venezuela for a while and before that, in many different beautiful countries (Japan, Russia, Guyana, St-Lucia, Switzerland, Austria...) due to my father's job. After CIC I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration at the Metropolitana Univeristy in Venezuela. After graduating from univeristy I worked for sometime in Venezuela and sometime after decided to move to Canada with my husband. I am currently working in Canada and I am completing a Graduate Diploma in Accounting at McGill University. My favorite CIC memory is the day my friends surprised me at school on my Birthday!! Although I had not been at CIC very long, they surprised me with goodies and treats and I will never forget that. I had a marvelous class at CIC! "Hey Bill! Thanks for taking on this massive job! After graduating from CIC
in 1994, I went to Boston (sounds familiar, huh?!). I graduated in 1998
with a B.A. in Psychology and then I finished my M.A. in 2000 in Psychology
as well. After seven long , cold years in Boston I moved to Miami. I
worked for Knight Foundation for 3 years and then switched gears completely
and became a Pilates instructor. I taught Pilates for 2 years and worked at
the Pilates Method Alliance coordinating their yearly conference. I got
married to James Winzey (Joe Winzey's (class of '89) younger brother) in
2002 and our son Andrew was born in May 2006. I have been working part-time
for the Pilates Method Alliance from home ever since Andrew was born. We
currently live in Miami Beach. For those of you with a long history at CIC,
I'll give you a quick update on the other Nieto sisters. Lisa has 2 girls
and lives in Caracas. Victoria has 2 girls and 1 boy and lives in Caracas
as well. Mimi has 2 boys and lives here in Miami. I have tons of great
memories from CIC...too many to mention. I still keep in touch with
Florencia Mejia, Adelina Saldivia, Ivan Leon and Patricia Ayala. Great CIC
teachers like Tamara Moscol, Linda Silva and Maritza Crespo definitely are
imprinted in my memory. Ahhhh the good old days! Anyway, I would love to
hear from the rest of the alumni. Take care, Tanya" Please email Carmen Sweeting for this alumnus' email address.

Hey guys, what's up? I've got to say that finding this yahoo group is like rediscovering the internet... I've been reading through all of your posts over the last hour. I'm impressed with the accomplishments: families, PhDs, Bar Exams, etc. Seeing all your pictures made me feel like I'm back at CIC. Ok, now I guess I owe an update from my end. After CIC, I went to Georgia Tech, graduated with a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering, went on to work for Deloitte. I've stayed in Atlanta since graduating and am still with the same company. I got married a year and a half ago. My wife's name is Sonya.. we met through family friends. No kids yet :) I've posted a picture of ours. We recently bought a home, and we're really excited about our new place. If any of you happen to be going by Atlanta, let me know. Any word about a reunion? I randomly ran into Priya at a wedding a couple of weeks ago and that's how I heard about the CIC'94 group. Write back! It's good to read about you all. Please email Carmen Sweeting for this alumnus' email address.

Greetings all! I'm so excited to see that CIC is trying to keep people connected! This is great! I will spread the word! I graduated from CIC in 1993 and from there went to Washington DC to American University. I didn't like cold weather so I moved to Miami and finished my studies in International Relations at Florida International University. I stayed here and currently I work for Apple in their Public Relations department, I love it. Seven years ago I married Carlos Arrieta, my high school boyfriend (CIC Class of 1991), who opened a post-production studio, and in November of '06 we welcomed our first child, Nicolas. All is well, we try to get back to Caracas every so often, and we even stop by CIC to reminisce...We miss those days! My sister Patty who graduated in 1987 is living in New Jersey with her husband and two adorable little girls. Email me guys!!! Please email Carmen Sweeting for this alumnus' email address.

"After CIC I went to Boston University where I studied Manufacturing Engineering. Since I did like the cold weather I stayed there for five more years working as a consultant. In 2002, I moved back to Caracas to work for a financial services firm. At the same time I did the PAG and begun a Masters in Finance part time at IESA. In August 2004, as things started "heating up" in Venezuela, I moved to the UK to do my MBA at London Business School. I graduated last July, and been working with Honeywell Aerospace as a Project Manager. Currently living between Somerset, England and Moravia, Czech Republic." "I am so excited to have found this website really, I love reconnecting with people especially those with whom I grew up! I am a fourth generation CIC alum. (Well all my siblings graduated from CIC as well). After graduating from CIC I ventured to Boston and went to Regis College for what to me felt like an eternity, but was only for about a year and a half. After transferring out of Regis, I returned to Caracas and took a year off from college and worked part time. Really I did nothing interesting, but I did realize that I enjoyed the workplace. After my year-long sabbatical, I found a college that actually fit my needs and one where I felt at home (and could proudly wear my tie dyed jeans!) - but I digress. At Barat in Lake Forest IL, I cultivated my passion for writing poetry, and with every experience I wrote, which made my growing pains worth while. After my five year college career,(yes five years - I really did not feel like leaving) I moved to Miami and lived with my parents and for a while worked at a couple of jobs. Mainly, I found that I really enjoy customer service, and worked for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines for almost four years. I left about two years ago and now live with my boyfriend in San Francisco. I currently work at DHC (a Japanese Skin Care company) and I am loving it. If anyone out there can help me contact a couple of former CIC teachers, I would really appreciate it. I am looking for two English teachers - Linda Silva (who I believe is going by the last name Mishkin), and Kristen Schardt (not sure on that spelling)." Erik Heinø (contacted CIC on April 3rd, 2007)
"Since graduating from CIC in 1993, I did a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering at Birmingham University (England), followed by a Masters at Imperial College in London. In 1998, I began a 5 year career at Kraft Foods in their coffee category, initially working in the engineering/technical realm, but gradually shifting to the commercial side. The work took me between the depths of Oxfordshire (Banbury) and the highs of Vienna, Austria (fantastic city!).
I am currently working in marketing for a small company called U-POL based in London, which manufactures and distributes chemicals for the automotive refinish industry. Sparked during the senior year at CIC, my passion for playing music continues to this day. I have been playing guitar in multiple bands throughout university and beyond. I still am particularly fond of hard rock and heavy metal (with no signs of it abating as I grow old and grey; much to the displeasure of all around me!). However, these days, I am more content putting my skills behind the scenes by working with an underground record label, helping other bands get exposure and getting their music out there. I have been residing in London since 2003 and loving it here. This is the kind of place where someone with a diverse multi-national background can feel right at home. In September last year, I married my darling Aniko in her native Hungary. And the big news right now is that we are expecting our first child later this year! My folks retired in 1997 and have since moved away from Venezuela and hence my visits there have significantly decreased in frequency. Amazingly, I still have some friends/contacts from my days at CIC/Venezuela, but I think we graduated about 3 years before the whole "email thing" took off so most of us unfortunately dispersed without any real contact link. I would love to hear from anyone passing through London, though!"
As for CIC memories, there are so many to choose from: Mr. Berninzoni's crap biology jokes, my cacophonous live debut at the CIC talent show in 1993 (with my mum laughing louder than the P/A!), my rambling & never-ending speech at graduation, snorkeling club to Morrocoy, Mr. Shanks' faulty firework experiments, spirit days when we dress up (we should have these at work!), tutoring 2nd graders, turning down joining Honours Roll every year, Ayuda y Amistad, running wild in the streets of The Hague during THIMUN, all the teachers that inspired me (and also those that drove me up the wall), etc. Please email Carmen Sweeting for this alumnus' email address.
Audrey Jara"I am a pediatrician in Tampa, Florida. I am doing well and I hope to open my own practice soon. In the meantime I work in the ER at the local children's hospital." I have worked for the U.S. Dept of State since 1997, and have been a Foreign Service Officer for almost six years. I've served in Lima, Peru; Panama City, Panama; and am currently serving in San Jose, Costa Rica. I married my husband, Alexander Romero, in 2000, and he is also a Foreign Service Officer. Maria Mercedes Arteaga"I'm class of 92 and one of Audrey's friends. Here is a summary of what I've been doing. After CIC, I went back home to study (Guatemala) and graduated as a Computer Engeneer and Systems Analyst. After that I got a Masters in System Reliability. I worked for a software company in Panama City, Panama for 5 years, mainly in the financial area. Today, I'm back home and working for a Software company, whose major work area is e-commerce and Web. I'm head of a team of developers whose client is in the Telephone business. I'm divorced and single for the moment, no children and enjoying life as it comes." "EPA! I graduated CIC in 1991. I stayed in Caracas for a year and half after graduation and opened up a company that is still operating successfully today, called Sound2 - we composed jingles for commercials. I sold my half of the company at the end of the year and moved to Virginia to study what I always wanted to do, Audio Engineering. I spent two years at Northern Virginia Community College and made my way to American University where I graduated with a BS in Audio Technology. After graduation, I moved to Miami and worked with Sony Music, recording artists and engineering their albums. I decided that I wanted to enjoy my life a bit more so I got out of the music industry and went into post-production. After a working for some great companies, I decided to go on my own and be my own boss. Last year I opened up my full service post-production company here in Miami. ROAR Post (www.roarpost.com) is a high definition facility and we do all sorts of post production from audio, video, graphic design, DVD authoring and more. I married Christina Caballero (CIC class of 1993) in November of 2000, and in November of 2006 we welcomed our first child, Nicolas - can you believe it??? I have a kid! "Hi my name is Danielle Schick Gibson and I graduated from CIC in 1990 and these are a few things I've been up to since then. I went to the University of Cincinnati where I studied Nursing and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 1996. I started working on a Medical/Surgical floor; soon became interested in the world of the Operating Room. I have been an Operating Room nurse since 1997 and have experienced almost all realms of surgery. I lived in Cincinnati, Ohio from 1990-2003, then moved to Greensboro, NC where we lived from 2003-2006. We are currently living in North Liberty, IA. I met my husband Jay Gibson after finishing college and we married in June of 2000. Jay is a Mechanical Engineer and works for Procter and Gamble. We have a 3 year old little girl Gabriela and just had our second child April 21, 2007 and his name is Stefan. My favorite memory of CIC, there are too many to say one in specific. All I can say is that I had a really good time in high school and will never forget all the great experiences I had there. Thanks for putting all this together, I'm sure it wasn't easy. As for the reunion I'm going to have to pass this one, maybe someday in the future." Please email Carmen Sweeting for this alumnus' email address.

"I graduated from CIC in 1989 after transferring there from a tiny little school in Puerto Ordaz. I was just trying to put together a linked HTML version of my CV online (for the PDF version see http://www.princeton.edu/~lisawynn/CV.pdf) and I thought I might as well add my high school to the online version, so hunting around for a CIC presence online, I was delighted to find the very well put-together website, and wanted to add my contact info to the alumni list and see if I could get the contact info for my fellow classmates of 1989. I'm about to move to Australia to take up a job there and it would be a treat if I could find anyone either in the Princeton, NJ or Sydney, Australia area. Also, since my 20th high school reunion is coming up in a couple of years, I'd like to stay in touch so that I can try to drag my family out there to attend. Please tell me what info you are compiling of graduates so I can send you mine. The CV link above has all current contact info, and when I finish the HTML version (http://www.princeton.edu/~lisawynn/CV.html) in a few days there will be pictures and such. Thanks and best, Lisa Wynn" Please email Carmen Sweeting for this alumnus' email address.

"After CIC, I went straight to university. At first it was a bit rough though. I finally graduated from the University of Houston in May of 1994 with a Bachelors in Business Administration concentrated on Finance. During that time I took a semester off and got a temporary job with Procter & Gamble in Caracas and for the last two years at U of H , I did two summer internships, once again with P&G. Consequently, when I graduated I had a job offer with P&G in Venezuela. I started work at P&G in September of 1994 and to this day still work for them. I am currently the Assistant Controller for Latin America. In early 1997, I met my wife to be, Adele, and we got married on September 18, 1999. Adele also works for P&G. She is currently the Internal Controls Associate Director for the Global Supply Chain operation. Our first child will be born in May of 2007. It's a boy and we're very excited. After that, I came to Texas to attend college where I met my wife and graduated from law school in 1998. I was an assistant district attorney in Houston before heading out into private practice in Corpus Christi. I am now a partner at Anthony, Peterson and Purnell focusing primarily on product liability cases. My wife and I have four great boys (ages 7, 5, 2 and 6 months). She practices as a pediatrician. Ivan Fernandez"It was great to visit CIC after so many years. My party animal years are over, but as the years creep up on me it still keeps me of semi sound mind and body. Unfortunately, when I graduated the Internet as we know it did not exist and I lost contact with almost all of my friends. I have run into several ex-alumni such as Jaime Signiori from class of 1986, John Farrell and Joe Winzey from class of 1988. I will forward your email so that they can incorporate their contact information to your alumni database. In the professional level, I graduated in CIC in 1987 and in 1988 had to revalidate 4th and 5th year in a Venezuelan school to obtain my Bachillerato degree. I graduated from the Universidad Simon Bolivar as a Materials Engineer in Polymer Science in 1995. From 1995 to this day I have been working with the Grupo Telares Maracay and I am currently a minority partner in one of their affiliate companies. I also have an independent company in the medical industry called Hospitalaria 2020, C.A. In the personal level, I got married in 1999 to Karina Rubio and we have two girls. Karina Alejandra was born in January 2003 and Valeria was born in August 2004. We are currently strongly considering that both attend CIC beginning in the 2007 - 2008 school year. There are so many memories from CIC that it is very difficult to point just one. The senior trip to Margarita, prom night in the Hilton, all the parties, our celebration of the last day of school in Paseo Las Mercedes and all the friends and teachers. Please keep updated on the events for ex-alumni. It will be 20 years this June from my graduation and I would love to participate in any reunion that you can put together. If I can help with anything, please let me know. Sincerely, Iván Fernández" Please email Carmen Sweeting for this alumnus' email address.

"Since I left CIC I went to live in Miami where I studied Fashion Retail and Management. When I graduated from The Fashion Institute of Fort Lauderdale in 1991. When I graduated I worked in The San Francisco Music Box company which is owned by Woolworth as an assistant manager. In 1993, I moved to live in Marbella, Spain with my mother. When In Spain I started my own catering company making children's parties. I was responsible for making all the food and decorating the halls. I enjoyed it so much that in 1995 I went to Res Roche's Hotel Management School which opened in Marbella. I was lucky because it was in English instead of French like in Switzerland. When I finished I started working in Gibraltar in Real Estate where there was money to be made. I was an administrative secretary and was in charge of all the clients' accounts. In November 1999, I came to live with my partner and started to work in the Body Shop as an assistant manager. I worked there until 2003 when I had my first child Raphael and then in 2004 I had my second child Andrew. In 2006 after being on leave from work, I decided to go back to college and I am taking a course in Child learning and development because I intend in the future to open a child care nursery. I have also started working as a support worker in a care home working with disabled people which I am enjoying very much. As you can see I have been very active and have changed many times my field of work. My family is still in Miami. My brother Andrew Levy, whom graduated in 1986 from CIC, lives in Ft. Lauderdale and has a company dedicated in buying old houses and refurbishes them. He has been doing this for over five years. I also know that Teddy Sassy, who graduated with me, lives in Miami and is an architect. What I remember from CIC was when I had Mrs. Crespo as my Venezuelan history teacher and that she would help us with fundraising for the orphan house she sponsored. I always remember the canteen where we used to hang out for lunch." Please email Carmen Sweeting for this alumnus' email address.

After C.I.C. I went to college in Venezuela (Universidad Metropolitana) and graduated in business administration in 1991. Since College, I have been working with Procter & Gamble in the finance department. I got married in 1993, with Mark Roberts, who I met at C.I.C. during my Sophmore year. Mark and I have 2 boys, Christian (12) and Alan (7) who are also following the tradition by attending C.I.C. Interestingly, Mark's father Daniel also went to C.I.C. (previously Colegio Americano) during the mid fifties. My brother Simon graduated from C.I.C. in 1988. He currently lives in Corpus Christi, Texas where he practices law in his own firm. He met his wife during his college years in Houston, and they are the happy parents of 4 boys. From my days at C.I.C. I cherish many memories (i.e. Prom party in Tamanaco where Mark and I started dating, Ms. Moscol's typing class, Senior trip to Margarita)." "Suzanne Purnell sent me this mail. I think it’s great that CIC is pulling together an Alumni Program. I graduated from CIC in 1987 as an Accelerated Junior (as the program was called then). After graduating I moved to Philadelphia where I went to college and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991. I worked for P&G in Finance at various locations including Cincinnati, London and Caracas. It is at P&G where I reconnected with Suzanne. After that I started my own short lived consulting firm which brought me to my current business named Empresas C.M., an importer/distributor with operations in Colombia and Venezuela. I am STILL single. I also remember fondly my time at CIC – though I am told that it has changed a great deal and much for the better. I remember my French teacher (Madame Camacho) and my Economics Teacher who, without knowing it, helped define my career as I ended up an economics/political science major at PENN."
